Who We Are

A Foundation Built on
Compassion & Faith

Jahlal Foundation was incorporated on the 15th of May 2026. The founder Alhaj Mohammad Sahedur Rahman set up this Charity to help people suffering addiction such as alcohol, drugs, gambling and mental health issue. The name Jahlal is to honour his late parents and formed of using the first three letters of their names.Alhaj Mohammad Lal Miah and Alhajah Jaheda Begum. Foundation is based in London in the borough of Tower Hamlets, which has a high number Bengali settlers.

Alhaj Mohammad Sahedur Rahman background consist of working in a government department since the age of 19, a career which lasted over 20 years. Mr Rahman also had several successful businesses in the food industry.Mr Rahman is currently on the advisory board for NHS Mental Health and Reset who deal with alcohol and drugs, where he advice on how to improve services that are provided. In addition, Mr Rahman has direct personal experience of addiction and mental health. Therefore, he wants to help people suffering from addiction.

Jahlal Foundation also plays big part in Bangladesh. Mr. Rahman is the sole custodian of Chandair Para Pankeeja Mosjid, its main is role to maintain up keeping and paying staff and Electricity bills and anything else that’s needed for Mosjid.
